# Grand Strand Tubachrismas
> The Grand Strand TubaChristmas event has grown significantly since its inception, evolving from a small gathering to a major holiday tradition. The organization has expanded its ensemble membership and repertoire, and by December 2025, it will transition to Coastal Carolina University. Dwayne Graham, after retiring from his role with the Pawleys Island Concert Band, now solely focuses on coordinating the Grand Strand TubaChristmas, ensuring its continued growth and reach. Under Graham's coordination and Dr. Joanna Ross Hersey's musical direction, the event unites various musicians to celebrate the holiday season with low brass music.
